This workshop is named The Subtle Link Between Yoga And Veganism. The bridge between Yoga and Veganism is Ahimsa: Non Violence. Being kind to yourself and being kind to others.
In this 3 hour workshop made by Sharda ten Hove we will go deeper into the reasons and motivations of veganism as well as exploring the essence of yoga through making connection with our inner truth.
Sharda became a vegetarian at the age of 10 and converted to a vegan lifestyle few years ago. She completed an Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle training as well as several Yoga teacher trainings and from 2011 she started to share the practice of Yoga. For Sharda, Yoga is a tool to tune into a peaceful place which we all carry within.
- 10:00—11:00. Shakti Yoga Practice: a powerful practice that will raise your body temperature and awaken your inner freedom. This practice includes a long savasana (relaxation) and short meditation.
- 11:00—12:00. Talk, short awareness video (non cruel to keep it Ahimsa style) and open group discussion on the link between Yoga and Veganism. During the talk there will be vegan chai and home made vegan chocolate.
- 12:00—12:40. Yin meditation practice. By staying longer in certain poses we melt deeply into our bodies and subconsciousness. You will feel relaxed and rejuvenated at the same time.
- 12:45—13:15. Delicious and healthy vegan lunch.
All food, snacks and chai will be home made by Yoga House & Spa vegan cafe.
Price is 1500 THB. A proceed from the workshop will be donated to an animal liberation organization.
Anyone can join, you don't need to have practiced yoga before or be vegan!
